The spread of education made it necessary to establish teacher training institutes at the rural level in Maharashtra. Considering the need of such institutes in Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaoudhri, North Maharashtra University Jalgaon the Kisan Dnyandoya Mandal Gudhe’s Trust established Nanasaheb Dr. Uttamrao Mahajan college of Education at Kargaon August 2008. The college has a very high reputation in the society; it is because of the Academic leaders, who with their immense efforts & vision developed the college. At present the Institute is progressing fast with qualitative & quantitative development under the able and efficient leadership of Principal "Prof.Miss Chhaya Shankarrao Gadwe".
The college is recognized by the NCTE, State Government and The College is a Non- grant in Un-aided and affiliated to K.B.C. North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon. The total intake capacity of B.Ed. is 50 students.
The faculties in our College are competent and committed and they upgrade the knowledge of their subjects by participating in state, national, and international conferences and seminars. The faculties in our college are NET, SET Qualified. There are 1 Ph. D. holders and 4 are pursuing Ph. D.
Our faculty members also engage in Research projects. Most of the faculty members have published their Research articles in state, national, international level and online journals with impact factors. They are also authors of some books.
